Thanks so much for the terrific videos. I have a training video that I got when I bought Pro Tools but it's nowhere near as good as yours. You made a lot of things seem so much easier. Also, you have a great voice...nice quality. Thank you for saving me time!

I just bought Pro Tools and I'm coming from hardware sequencing. I've been walking around all week with my eyebrows way up on my head looking confused. Your videos are so clear concise and so easy to absorb, it all became crystal clear. This is the best instructional video I've ever used. Thank You!.Now maybe this week I can get some sleep!

Matt

Nearly three years ago I purchased an inexpensive Digidesign home recording package with PTLE 7.3.1, M BOX 2 MINI, cables, mic, monitors, Pro Tools Method One instructional DVD, etc.

Having absolutely no experience with anything to do with audio recording or editing I spent more than two years purchasing books, tutorials and DVDs try to get my head around how to use the I/O, bussing, routing, sends, etc. I finally gave up in disgust.

About a week ago I happened across your site and thought I'd dig the PT gear back out and try one more time. Thank you! Every copy of PTLE should ship with a DVD of your tutorials. I wasted a lot of money on books, DVDs and tutorials that were just plain junk in comparision to what you are producing.

Tutorials are great but is there a way to pause and rewind rather than having to replay entire video? I see no transport-type controls on the screen and if I click on the screen the video stops and play cannot be resumed. Thanks.

@soren: I wouldn't say it is a rule... but strongly suggested (by me at least). It allows you to monitor the overall level of the mix, and is really the only easy way to do so. Also, it allows for processing the 2-mix... such as overall compression.

One thing though. You don't mention it, but I see you do it in later tutorials and that is you always to start with the Master fader and call it MIX, execpt in the tut where you cover tracks.
I read somewhere else on the net that you should always should start with this. Is that a rule you apply to aswell (And thereby us)?
Thanks in advance :)
